01
Decide how high the fade should sit
A low skin fade keeps more weight around the temples. A mid or high version creates stronger contrast and makes the top look more pronounced.
Ask your barber to show where the transition will begin before the clippers start. Small changes in placement can alter the whole silhouette.
02
Expect more frequent maintenance
The cleanest part of a skin fade grows out quickly, especially in Bangkok's warm climate. Many clients refresh the sides every two or three weeks.
A softer blend can extend the time between visits if you prefer a more relaxed grow-out.
03
Pair the fade with the right top
Texture, length and styling direction determine whether the final look feels sharp, classic or casual. Bring a photo that shows both the sides and the top.
Your barber can adapt the fade to your hairline, density and face shape instead of copying the image exactly.
